World leaders return to the UN amid wars, tensions and the AI challenge

Nearly 130 world leaders are gathering in New York for the United Nations General Assembly as conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, economic pressures and the governance of artificial intelligence test international cooperation.

Food and energy security, humanitarian relief and common rules for AI are expected to shape the discussions.
